About The Course

The Field Regulation course was specifically developed for working piano tuners who want to take their service offerings to the next level. Unlike workshop style regulation courses, this program focuses on the real-world scenarios technicians encounter every day in customers’ homes. Written and taught by Jason Cassel, RPT, Field Regulation teaches students how to skillfully regulate both grand and upright pianos — no matter the piano’s age, condition, or level of previous care. The emphasis is on achieving meaningful, tonal improvements within the practical time and budget limits that most clients have, without sacrificing the integrity of proper regulation.

While designed with efficiency in mind, this course does not cut corners. Instead, it equips technicians with the critical skills needed to make pianos play their absolute best in the field — whether the piano is brand new or decades old. Packed with professional, movie-quality instructional videos filmed in our state-of-the-art production studio, this course provides clear, detailed demonstrations that technicians can apply immediately. By mastering field regulation, technicians will be able to offer a broader range of valuable services to their clients, increasing customer satisfaction and growing their income along the way.

What Makes This Course Different

What sets our Field Regulation Course apart from every other online or correspondence option available today is its unmatched combination of expert instruction, real-world focus, and cutting-edge educational design. Unlike generic or loosely structured courses, this program was built from the ground up for the working piano technician—someone who needs practical, efficient solutions that work in the field. The course was written by one of the most respected names in the industry, Jason Cassel, RPT, and it focuses on teaching technicians how to bring out the best in any piano, regardless of condition, while working within the time and budget constraints of typical service calls.

What truly elevates this course is the quality of its delivery. Every lesson is brought to life with professional, movie-grade videography and precision audio, ensuring you can see and hear every nuance of the regulation process. Just as importantly, the course is highly structured and easy to follow—something that’s rare in online education—thanks to our in-house eLearning Specialist, Jeff Johnson, who holds a Master’s Degree in Education. The result is a powerful, immersive learning experience that empowers you to offer more services, deliver better results, and grow your income as a piano technician.
